How many fish oil capsules to take at once...
by: Kevin

I guess it depends on what the dosage is of each fish oil capsule. The most popular fish oil capsule dosage is 1000 mg. So if you take three 1000 mg. fish oil capsules you're looking at a 3000 mg dose.

I think it's better to spread the dosages throughout the day - if it's convenient for you. Some people can't do this so they take their entire fish oil dosage all at once.

This is why some companies created enteric-coated fish oil capsules, such as Spring Valley Fish Oils.

They claim the enteric coating improves digestion in the small intestine allowing for a more sustained release of the fish oil ingredients.

Thanks for your comments, John!
