Yes Yes Yes to Coconut Oil!

I picked up a jar of unrefined/raw c oil at Wal-mart for $10! It was worth every penny...The moment I used on my skin I could feel the difference, especially with my feet which are always dry and cracked.

For my hair: It works wonders...first use which I didn't rinse out, and my hair has been silky for almost two days. It's best to just condition like stated and rinse because it did make my hair smell....my guy noticed, but it works wonders.

Reply: Great to see you had such wonderful results from coconut oil. That's a really low price you got from Walmart. I'll have to visit my local Wal-mart and see if they carry it; I prefer to use organic, virgin coconut oil so I hope they carry this type.

I use virgin coconut oil as a regular part of my skin care regimen. I prefer using skin lotions that don't contain too many chemicals or preservatives, so virgin coconut oil is an acceptable product for this. I find it leaves my skin softer and helps retain moisture as long as I don't use too much as it can get greasy.

Virgin coconut oil on hair is a great conditioner and hair softening product. Yes, if you use too much it can leave the hair shaft greasy and weighed-down. However, after a couple of days, I believe the excess oil is absorbed by the hair shaft making it thicker, stronger and softer.

use VIRGIN ORGANIC instead
by: Anonymous

Glad you are seeing the many benefits of coconut oil. However, you'll do even better if you use VIRGIN ORGANIC coconut oil. Also best to buy it at a place known for health/natural foods & supplements, as they will rotate their products much more often; therefore, the product is fresher. There's no telling how long that jar was sitting on the shelf, as Wal-Mart does not draw many coconut oil users.
