When to take omega 3 fish oils?

(Anonymous)

I have 1 bottle of omega 3 oils manufactured in Bohemia, NY, 1200mg, that says I must take it with 1 meal. Another bottle made in Santa Ana, CA. 1000mg, states take after meal. Why does one say with a meal and one says after meal?

Answer: You'll find a number of different recommendations from different manufacturers. You may find similar recommendations for other natural health products, such as vitamins and herbal supplements.

So far, I haven't found any medical research looking at the best time to take omega 3 supplements.

Omega 3 oils are natural fatty acids found in food, so I like treat them as such. Sometimes I'll take my fish oils before a meal or after a meal. Other times I'll take fish oils during the day between meals.

I think the important thing is that you're providing your body with a vital nutrient.

Good luck and I hope your enjoy the health benefits of these healthy oils.
