re: Answer for Safe Dosage of Emu Oil

Hi Susan, Emu oil is an excellent source of the omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. You can get emu oil in capsules and liquid form. I've used emu oil primarily as a skin oil, but I have taken it internally. Unfortunately, there's no proven safe or effective dosage of emu oil in adults. There are also no documented reports of emu oil toxicity or adverse reactions. With this in mind, I don't think there would be any harm in taking moderate amounts of emu oil, as long as the emu oil is specifically processed for ingestion.
