Using Oil of Oregano on Scabies

by Francine Graham
(Ontario, Canada)

Oil of Oregano is a natural cure for scabies. Place a drop of oil on the pimple/rash in the morning and at night. Repeat treatment for at least three days and it will kill the scabies, leaving a scab.

Oil of Oregano a Natural Cure for Scabies
by: Anonymous

Hi Francine,

This is a GREAT idea for using Oil of Oregano!

I posted research on the benefits of using tea tree oil on scabies, but haven't heard of any other drug-free alternatives.

Thanks for sharing this great use of Oil of Oregano with our readers! I'm sure many people will benefit from this original idea.

Kevin

Scabies and oregano oil

Mix oregano oil with 100% pure aloe vera gel. The aloe gel is an excellent carrier and transports the oil deep into the skin where the female mites lay their eggs. Oregano oil smells much nicer than tea tree oil, and needless to say neem oil absolutely reeks. You can make a very good topical ointment using a palm full of aloe gel, around 5 drops of oregano oil and ONE drop of clove bud oil. Clove bud oil apparently kills the eggs as well. Be very careful not to add too much clove oil as it burns. Don't apply straight out of a hot shower as skin is way too sensitive. Allow skin to cool off first. Apply the treatment for a minimum of one week, as well as hot washing and where possible hot tumble drying all worn clothing and bedding. Vaccum every day, and wipe down hard surfaces with a hot damp cloth which has been soaked in water and a few drops of oregano oil. Pine/Eucalyptus disinfectant products also work well on hard surfaces.
