Using Coconut Oil as a Leave In Hair Conditioner

(DC)

I used coconut oil as a leave in conditioner prior to straightening my hair (i use a blow dryer-straightener)....Wow! It was nicer than any professional blow dry I ever had! I only used it on the lower part of my hair so as to not look like I had a head full of oil...it was a tad oily in the end, so I put some baby powder between my hands and powdered up a bit (my hair is medium brown and my baby powder trick - I use it so as to not have wash my hair more than 2 or 3 times a week - doesn't show at all) - and I was good to go. By the time I get around to washing my hair again it will be as if I had a 2-3 day deep conditioner. It was the first time I ever used coconut oil and I can't wait to find other uses for it :D

Hi DC, Thank you for sharing your experience with coconut oil as a hair conditioner. Your tip on using baby powder in the hair may also be of use to others. Thanks again!
