I am a mature lady who contacted head lice through minding some young school children..to my horror after a few days I began to feel a creepiness on my scalp. Then feelings that made me scratch frantically all over, & bite bumps began appearing at the base of my hairline & behind my ears. I tolerated this for 2 weeks, washing my very long hair with all types of shampoo, thinking that I could rid the infestation myself.
Two days ago I went on the Internet. Tea Tree Oil came up often with it's antiseptic effect, & the 'maybe' it would be effective on my scalp. I smothered my roots & scalp with it, went to sleep (quite blissfully after non-sleep nights) and awoke to find all size nits & eggs on my white pillow case. I was over-the-moon & so racked my hair with a comb for an hour & ended up with a mosaic of speckled design on my case. I didn't try to count them as it may have 'freaked me out' - today there is the odd scratch needed, but, I am positive that I can overcome the nits with daily help from this amazing tea tree oil.
