What’s great about using tea tree oil recipes is you can customize and combine different ingredients for different purposes.

Here are some recipes you can use for skin care, immune support, healing and relaxation.

The majority of these recipes use a mixture of essential oils that you would commonly used in aromatherapy.

Where can you get the essential oils needed for these recipes?

Your local health food store or organic skin care store may be the best place to look for essential oils, diffusers and other aromatherapy products. You can also try looking online for companies that market essential oils.

You can use an essential oil diffuser to help diffuse the oil throughout your room. Some of these oils may need a carrier oil before applying them directly to your skin.

Fight Colds and Flu Recipe

Here’s one of my favorite tea tree oil recipes for fighting a stubborn cough, nasal congestion and plugged sinuses.

  • 4 drops tea tree oil
  • 4 drops Eucalyptus oil
  • 1 tablespoon Vicks Vapor Rub
  • 1 bowl of steaming hot water
  • 1 bath towel

Place all the ingredients in the bowl of steaming hot water. Place your head over the bowl and cover your head and bowl with the towel. Take slow deep breathes through your nose, exhaling through your mouth. Do this for at least 5 – 10 minutes allowing the vapors to penetrate deep into your lungs. The humidity from the steam will help loosen secretions deep in your lungs.

Recipe for Fungal Infections on the Skin

You can use this recipe for fighting fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. You can apply the oil at full strength or mix it with a carrier oil, such as emu oil.

  • 4 drops tea tree oil
  • 2 drops lavender oil
  • emu oil (optional)

Mix the oils together and apply to what area you wish to treat. Allow the oils to absorb into the skin for maximum effect.

Anti-bacterial Oil Blend Tea Tree Oil Recipe

This is an all-purpose tea tree oil recipe that you can use as a natural disinfectant to reduce or prevent bacteria. It can be used 100% pure or mixed with a carrier oil. You can also use an essential oil diffuser to diffuse the oils into the air.

  • 4 drops tea tree oil
  • 4 drops lemon oil
  • 4 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 4 drops eucalyptus oil

Tea Tree Oil Acne Recipe

Here’s a tea tree oil recipe that I’ve used to fight acne and skin blemishes. I would apply the mixture directly to pimples and find it really helped reduce skin redness and swelling. Make sure to avoid getting the oil into your eyes.

  • 1 drop tea tree oil
  • 1 drop emu oil

Tea Tree Oil Recipe for Warts

This oil uses the antibacterial and anti-fungal properties of tea tree oil and oil of oregano to help fight warts. Apply the oil blend directly to the wart and cover with a bandage to allow the oil to soak in.

  • 1 drop tea tree oil
  • 1 drop oregano essential oil

Room Deodorizer Recipe

This tea tree oil recipe to help fight stale odors, cooking odors and freshen your bathroom. It will work best if you use an essential oil diffuser.

  • 2 drops lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops tea tree oil
  • 2 drops orange sweet essential oil
  • 2 drops cedarwood red essential oil
