This is a GREAT idea for using oil of oregano. I never thought it would make a natural pesticide. I frequently get aphids on some of my indoor plants. I'm going to try this and see how it works. Thanks again for the great idea!

Oil of Oregano is actually an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and insecticide as well as proven effective to inhibit oxidant damages to cells. Origanum Vulgare is the true species to use, and when grown with in your vegetable garden it adds an extra flavor to your veggies as well as keeps them healthy from invaders. When I started using this my honeydew plants were covered with bugs, as soon as I sprayed them the bugs couldn't leave faster. Make a mixture of two drops of oil of oregano, two drops of lavender oil, and two drops of either spearmint or peppermint to one liter of water and lightly mist onto plants once a week. Of course the higher the concentration of oil, the better result and the less you will have to use.
