I recently read an article on Women to Women, concerning the thyroid gland, and it's function. I know that iodine is important but never put that much thought into it. I have a chronic problem with fluid retention so I strictly limit my salt intake. Herein lies the problem - now that I am getting older and hopefully a little wiser, I am seeing the need for iodine. I have several symptoms that would lead me to believe that my hormone levels are not as they should be.
I have an amazing Chiropractor and he has me taking a adrenal supplement which works wonders. I highly recommend that people inquire about the adrenal function as well. I am wondering how much, if any, iodine I am getting from taking 2000 mg. of Omega 3 Fish Oil daily?
