How long for weight loss with coconut oil?

by Denise
(Belfast)

Hi, just wondering how long it takes before you lose any weight with coconut oil and has anyone lost any significant weight with the coconut oil, I have been using coconut oil for 3 weeks, pure form, no weight loss as yet, it is fabulous for skin, and I love the smell, easy to take with juice, just waiting on this damn weight loss, I'm getting married in two weeks.

re: weight loss with coconut oil

Hi Denise, Weight loss with virgin coconut oil should be a slow, steady and gradual process. I don't believe it will provide a rapid weight loss. I think individuals looking to lose weight with coconut oil should also reduce their calories and include daily exercise to boost their metabolisms and facilitate more calorie expenditure.

On a personal note, I have lost about 5 pounds over a month when I used 2 - 3 tablespoons daily of virgin coconut oil. I also watched my diet and worked out about 3 - 4 times a week at the gym. I found the coconut oil helped increase my energy levels and helped me feel full between meals.

Good luck and I wish you all the best on your special day!
