Differences in liquid flax oil taste

(Sue)

I purchased liquid flax oil from a large chain-store and liked the taste; I would compare it to the taste of cucumbers. The second bottle had an unpleasant fishy taste. Could you explain the reason for the difference? Also, is there a "best brand" for flax oil as to manufacturing process, etc. Thanks for your consideration and time.

Sue

ANSWER: Hi Sue, I'm not sure why you would have a difference in taste between the two bottles. If these were from the same brand of flaxseed oil then I would suspect something in the oil itself? In my case, I always found flaxseed oil to have a 'nutty' taste.

Here's some handy tips to buying the best flaxseed oil.

Best of luck and I hope you find a flaxseed oil that meets your health needs.
