Coconut oil vs. Jojoba oil for Hair Conditioning

I was just curious which oil is better for making you hair and scalp healthy, soft and grow? jojoba or coconut? I have been told that jojoba oil is very good but i recently heard that it doesn't actually penetrate the hair where as coconut oil does so i'm quite confused. help would be much appreciated. I have a really dry dandruff scalp and I want to turn it into a healthy mosturized one. I also want soft shiny long hair so, advice would also be nice.

Reply: Jojoba oil has been shown to be similar to human sebum, which may make it compatible for human skin. The oil has also been shown to have fungicidal properties which may make it suitable for treating some dandruff conditions caused by fungi.

A study on using coconut oil on dry hair found coconut oil was the only oil that could penetrate the hair shaft, making the hair thicker and stronger.

There are also many testimonials from people that have used coconut oil for hair conditioning with positive results.

Give virgin coconut oil a try; you may be pleasantly surprised by the results.
